Processing Times & Proofs

Processing Times:

Every Push Pin Travel Map or Travel Décor product is handmade to order with great care in the USA. Since each piece is crafted just for you, processing times vary by product:

  • Paper Maps: Printed and shipped within 1-3 business days
  • Canvas Maps, Map Art, Sign Art, Bucket Lists & Travel Décor: Lovingly created and shipped within 3-5 business days after proof approval (if a proof is requested or required).
Proofing Process:
  • Proofs are sent within 1 business day of ordering.
  • We only send proofs for canvas maps and custom décor if you request one or if we have questions about your personalization.
  • If you request a proof or one is required, your processing time officially begins after you approve the proof.

*Please Note: The day your order is placed is considered Day 0. Processing time begins the following business day.

Shipping Information

Free Shipping:
  • Enjoy free standard shipping on all orders over $100 within the contiguous U.S.
  • We ship to Hawaii and Alaska for an additional fee.
  • For some orders, maps and pins may ship separately to ensure your map arrives safely.
Standard Transit Times - US Orders:
  • Most orders ship via FedEx or UPS for fast, reliable delivery. Transit times typically range from 2–5 business days.
  • Orders for push pins alone are shipped via USPS, unless you select an express shipping option at checkout.
  • Carrier Delays: While we always do our best to get your order to you quickly, unexpected events like extreme weather can sometimes cause carrier delays. We appreciate your patience and understanding in these rare situations.

*Please Note: For some orders, maps and pins may ship separately to ensure your map arrives safely.

Expedited Shipping:
  • Express shipping options are available at checkout for some (but not all) products. Rates are automatically calculated based on your destination.
  • Important: Express shipping transit times refer to business days (Monday–Friday). For example:
    A 2-day express order shipped on Thursday would arrive on Monday.
  • Need it faster? Rush Processing may be available for some orders. Please Contact Us if you need your order by a specific date, and we'll do our best to accommodate your request.
  • Remember to factor in our processing times when choosing an express shipping option.
P.O. Boxes:
  • We are unable to ship framed maps to P.O. Boxes because FedEx and UPS do not deliver to them. Please provide a physical street address at checkout to avoid delays.
  • Orders for push pins only can be shipped to P.O. Boxes.
APO & FPO Orders:
  • We are able to ship some (but not all) products to APO and FPO addresses for an additional fee.
  • These orders must ship via USPS, whose rates are much higher than our discounted rates with FedEx/UPS, and transit times vary widely (typically 2–4 weeks).
  • Due to these variations, we cannot guarantee arrival dates for APO/FPO shipments.
Canada Orders:

We are able to ship some (but not all) products to Canada. Orders to Canada ship via FedEx using the service selected at checkout:

  • Standard: Arrives in approximately 5–9 days after shipping.
  • Priority: Arrives in approximately 1–4 business days after shipping.
  • No Hidden Fees: All duties and taxes are prepaid and included in your shipping fee.

*Please note: Delivery timeframes are estimates and not guaranteed.

Other International Destinations:
  • We can ship many (but not all) of our products to most international destinations for an additional fee (we currently cannot ship to China, India, or Venezuela).
  • FedEx Shipments: Include duties and taxes and typically arrive within 5–9 days (Priority options arrive sooner).
  • USPS Shipments: Can take 2–3 weeks or longer. With USPS, your destination country may collect duties or taxes upon delivery, which are the buyer's responsibility.

Incorrect Shipping Information

Due to the size of our packaging, shipping our maps is quite expensive, so please double-check your address before placing your order.

  • If a package is returned to us due to an incorrect or incomplete address, we'll be happy to reship it once additional shipping charges are paid.

Order Changes & Cancellations

We take pride in crafting every map with a personal touch. Since each one is made to order, here’s how changes and cancellations work:

  • Before production begins: You can cancel or change your order at no cost. Please Contact Us as soon as possible, as production typically begins shortly after your order is placed.
  • After production begins: Because each map is made just for you and often personalized, a 10% fee applies for any order changes or cancellations once production has started.
  • After shipping: Orders cannot be changed or canceled. Any necessary changes must be handled through our Returns Policy (if applicable).

After Delivery

Lost Packages:

If your order hasn't arrived but the tracking shows the package as delivered, please follow these steps:

  1. Contact the Carrier First: Please contact the shipping carrier (FedEx, UPS) directly with your tracking number to start a trace on the package. In most cases, the carrier is able to locate the package within a few days.
  2. Contact Us for Assistance: If the carrier is unable to locate your package, please email us at info@pushpintravelmaps.com for further assistance.

Please Note: We are unable to process a replacement order until the shipping carrier completes their investigation (trace). This process typically takes 3-4 business days from the time you report the package missing. We will work with you promptly to ship a replacement once the carrier confirms the original package is unrecoverable.

(Reminder: Your map and push pins may ship separately. In these cases, your pins will arrive via USPS.)

Damaged Items

While we use custom packaging to protect your map, on rare occasions, damage can still occur during transit.

If your map or décor item arrives damaged, please email us at info@pushpintravelmaps.com within 7 days of receiving your order.

Be sure to include:

  • Your order number.
  • Clear photos of both the damage to your item and the exterior packaging.

Providing photos helps us quickly assess the issue and is required for us to file a damage claim with the shipping provider. This allows us to get a replacement sent to you as soon as possible at no cost to you.

Returns

Return Policy:

We want you to love your map! If you're not completely happy with your purchase, here are our return guidelines:

  • You can return new, unpinned, and non-personalized maps or other non-personalized items within 30 days of delivery for a refund.
  • Holiday Orders: Orders placed in November and December may be returned until January 31st to make holiday gifting easier.
  • To start a return, simply email us at info@pushpintravelmaps.com
  • Return Shipping: Return shipping is the buyer's responsibility, unless the return is due to our error (e.g., you received a wrong or defective item).
  • Please repackage your item securely in its original box to ensure it arrives back in new condition. Once we receive your return, we’ll issue a refund to the original payment method.
Personalized Maps & Décor:
  • Because they're made just for you, personalized maps and décor cannot be returned or exchanged. However, if a personalized item arrives damaged, we will send a replacement at no cost to you. See our Damaged Items policy above for more info. 
  • We print your personalization exactly as entered on your order, so please double-check all spelling and details before submitting.
